It's August! YoungWilliams Celebrates Child Support Awareness 2019
Since 1995, the Child Support community has observed August as Child Support Awareness Month. The Child Support program has long been recognized as one of the keys to self-sufficiency for families. President Bill Clinton established Child Support Awareness Month to recognize the accomplishments of the program and its employees.
YoungWilliams partners with child support agencies in 11 different states. Our services are seamless and customer-focused. We connect with child support customers and stakeholders every single day.
Parents. We establish paternity and support orders, enforce and modify support orders, receive and distribute payments, and answer questions in person, over the phone, via email, web chat, and more.
Community Partners. We work closely with other state and local agencies to educate them on the child support program, help their customers with child support concerns, and provide resources for our child support customers (e.g., workforce services, substance abuse, parenting support groups, etc.).
Courts. We work closely with judges, clerks, private attorneys, process servers, sheriff’s departments and others to establish, enforce and modify child support orders. We are proud of our law firm roots and our daily work with the judicial system to help parents.
During August, over 1,400 YoungWilliams employees celebrate Child Support Awareness Month. As we have in the past, we will plan and host special activities that promote child support services, recognize the key role we play in children’s lives, connect with our communities through outreach, and honor the hard work child support professionals do every day.
“For me, Child Support Awareness Month is a time to highlight all the ways the child support program helps children and families,” said Mary Johnson, Vice President of Special Projects. “At YoungWilliams, we promote the program and celebrate our customers, communities, and employees. It’s fun to see what each office plans and to look at pictures from each event. I love August.”
In the past, events ranged from those that benefit our professional partners, such as CLE programs, to drives for school and food pantry supplies for our communities.
